Spencer's Retail Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in developing, conducting, and promoting organised retail and operates departmental and neighbourhood stores under various formats across the country in India. It offers products in various categories, such as food, including fruits and vegetables, staples, beverages, processed food, dairy, fish and meat, and spices and condiments; personal care comprising skin care, hair care, oral care, baby care, men's grooming, and personal hygiene; home, including home decor home furnishings, bathroom essentials, kitchen essentials, dining essentials, travel needs, and toys and stationery; and electronics and electricals, such as home appliances, kitchen appliances, electrical fittings and accessories, and digital equipment and accessories. The company also provides fashion and accessories, including men's casual and office wear, and women's casual, ethnic, innerwear, accessories, footwear; organic food diet food, pet food, baby food, nuts and dry fruits, and party delights; and gourmet, wine and spirits, tobacconist, epicuisine, and nutty delights. The company also engages in the online retail business. It provides its products under the own brands, including Smart Choice, Tasty Wonders, Clean Home, and Maroon, as well as under the various private brands, such as Island Monks, Mark Nicolas, Asankhya, Scorez, La Bonita, and Island Monks Kids. The company was formerly known as RP-SG Retail Limited and changed its name to Spencer's Retail Limited in December 2018. Spencer's Retail Limited was founded in 1863 and is headquartered in Kolkata, India.
