International Gemological Institute Limited provides independent certification and grading services for diamonds, color gemstones, and jewelry in India and internationally. The company offers services, such as diamond grading, color gemstone identification, and jewelry certification, as well as screening of laboratory-grown and treated stone; and diamond sorting, retailer support, and consumer services, including registration and recovery, and appraisals. It also operates a network of Schools of Gemology, which provides gemology courses comprising rough diamond grading, gemstone identification courses, pearls, modern treatments, and computer-assisted jewelry design. The company was formerly known as International Gemmological Institute (India) Limited and changed its name to International Gemological Institute Limited in April 2026. The company was founded in 1975 and is based in Mumbai, India. International Gemological Institute Limited operates as a subsidiary of BCP Asia II TopCo Pte. Ltd.
