After consumer-goods prices rose 26%, NielsenIQ finds 58% don't care who made it
A new report by NielsenIQ and World Data Lab indicates that 58% of consumers are indifferent to whether a product is a national brand or private label, focusing instead on their needs. This shift comes as fast-moving consumer goods prices rose 26% globally between 2021 and 2025. Private label products are now seen as credible competitors across all price segments, not just as lower-cost alternatives.
