The company's products are used in elevators, cranes, general purpose, structural, fishing, oil and gas, shipping, mining, and logging and forestry. The company was formerly known as Bharat Ropes Limited and changed its name to Bharat Wire Ropes Limited in July 1996. Bharat Wire Ropes Limited was incorporated in 1986 and is based in Mumbai, India.
