It also provides healthcare services in the areas of ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics and neonatology, plastic surgery, psychiatry, pulmonology, rheumatology, spine surgery, transfusion medicine, sports medicine, and vascular surgery. The company was formerly known as Seahorse Hospital Limited and changed its name to KMC Speciality Hospitals (India) Limited in October 2008. KMC Speciality Hospitals (India) Limited was incorporated in 1982 and is based in Trichy, India. KMC Speciality Hospitals (India) Limited is a subsidiary of Sri Kauvery Medical Care (India) Limited.
